Poetry in the City is both a celebration of Liverpool’s lively yearround poetry scene, and a catalyst for the creation of new work by the city’s poets.
During this year’s Poetry in the City festival Luisa D’arte and Ben Zuhlcke will be interacting with the day-to-day and day-to-night life of Slater Street through the mediums of poetry and photography.
From their base in The International Gallery, 34 Slater Street, they will be venturing out to capture the moods, gestures and language of the characters that give life to this vibrant part of the city.
