Just a reminder that it is Wirral Words Open Floor Poetry Evening on Tuesday 26 May at The Scouse House. Please try to come along and keep our fun and varied evening up to the high standard we all enjoy.
Many of you will be aware that Radio 4 is running a slam competition. To enter it you must be the winner of a bona fide slam. To maximise the chances for local poets we will have a Wirral Grand Slam at Tallula’s Late Lounge, Marine Promenade, New Brighton on Wednesday 3 June. Doors open 7.30pm and registration will be completed by 7.50pm. The event is supported by Wirral Ode Show, The Bards of New Brighton and Wirral Words. It had to be set up at short notice so others may not ave been contacted. However, all are welcome and any suggestions gratefully received.
There will be £2 admission and a £50 prize for the winner as well as the opportunity to represent the North West on Radio 4.
